What to consider

Material facts link to the supplier's own pages.

Concrete look without concrete

Cement Ash porcelain and Soapstone Metropolis quartz give an architectural, concrete-style surface in a fabricated slab. Check each product page for the finishes the supplier lists.

Light or dark gray

Light grays keep a room airy and pair well with white or wood; darker grays add contrast. Both look different under warm and cool bulbs, so view samples where they will be installed.

Care by material

Quartz needs no sealing, per MSI Surfaces; Mercury Gray is a natural quartzite, where periodic sealing is usually recommended, per MSI Surfaces.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I get a concrete look that's practical for a kitchen?

Yes. A concrete-look quartz or porcelain slab gives the look in a fabricated countertop. We'll go over finish and care for the specific product at your estimate.

Is gray quartz or gray quartzite better?

Quartz is consistent and doesn't need sealing; quartzite is a natural stone with unique veining and usually needs periodic sealing. See our quartz vs. quartzite guide for more.
